We have experienced a number of situations in which the net force on a particle is constant. In these situations, the acceleration of the particle is also constant and we can describe the motion of the particle using the kinematic equations of Chapter 2.If a force acting on a particle varies in time, the acceleration of the particle also changes with time, and the kinematic equations cannot be used.
