As described previously, the request of accessing device
is forward to client-side platform. Thus, some latency incurs
between the request and the response of the request. Two
approaches about data update of remote device are designed
and the latency of each approach is measured. Fig. 13 depicts
the first approach which adopts active update and DMD will
periodically transmit sensor readings to AASMP while RDM
receives and stores the data into a queue. When a request is
received from Android emulator, RDM returns data from the
queue. In the other approach, as showing in Fig. 14, DMD
only returns sensor data after receiving request from RDM.
Table V lists the measured latency of these two approaches.
Apparently the active one shows more efficiency.
