Rape victims are the kind of trauma victims which many group counsellors might learn to assist in more effective ways. Group counsellors in Thailand currently need improved training approaches to dealing with trauma victims. They generally have room for improvement in their knowledge about the counselling needs of trauma victims and their strategies to address this – not just as therapy but with counselling as a practice of non-formal learning. This project will aim to explore better knowledge about both attitudes towards rape victims and other trauma victims and techniques to assist them that might assist other group counsellors in the local context.
