We can set the rate of barometer pressure change that triggers a storm alert
Picture 1 is where users set the rate(2hpa~6hpa/3h). These values are the minimum threshold over the given period of time one needs to exceed in order for the storm alert to trigger. When pressure changes and exceeds the threshold that is set in the device, the storm alert will then be triggered.
As for Picture 2, we can see that there is a large decrease for the barometer pressure which may trigger the Storm Alert. But if it is accompanied with a large increase of elevation, the storm alert will not be triggered
For instance: if you move up and down the elevator at a quick enough pace you may be canceling out the change in pressure.
