The different periods of the Gothic style
The French Gothic period lasts from the late twelfth century to the early sixteenth century. It corresponds to the early development of the furniture which then inspired many architectural masterpieces.
We distinguish three phases in the Gothic style:
from 1160 to 1300 (the twelfth and thirteenth century) with early Gothic or Gothic style lancet named by the very acute form of the pointed arch.
from 1300 to 1400 (XIV century) with the High Gothic or Gothic style pointed arch whose centers are at birth bows.
from 1400 to 1500 (XV century) with Gothic or flowery with pointed arches very slender shaped braces with sinuous curves and reminding the form of flame
