The influence of chain architecture is also strongly
reflected in binary block copolymer blends containing
a highly asymmetric copolymer as a blend component.
In particular, architecturally induced macrophase-
separation and partial miscibility are observed.
It is demonstrated that partially miscible blends of a
thermoplastic star block copolymer and a thermoplastic
elastomeric linear triblock copolymer offer a
new material concept for toughness modification of
polymeric materials.
