cathode charge transfer resistance is achieved at high pressure
values of 3.0 and 4.0 MPa. This means that the MEAs
hot-pressed at higher pressure possess better electrode
structures to properly regulate the flow of reactants and
products.
Cyclic voltammograms (CVs) of the cathodes were recorded
to compare their electrochemically active surface areas
(ECSAs) and their results are shown in Fig. 6. The ECSAs of the
cathodes could be estimated in a potential range of 0.05e0.4 V
corresponding to the hydrogen adsorption/desorption process.
