Score the critical items (see Appendix H on p. 691) and note which ones indicate important trends. It is often helpful at S0I11epoint to review these items with the client and obtain elaborations.
In particular, it is essential to determine whether the person understood what the item was asking. Similarly, it can sometimes be helpful to examine the answer sheet and note which, if any, questions were omitted.
A discussion with the client about why he or she chose not to respond might shed additional light on how he or she is functioning psychologically and what areas are creating conflict for him or her.
