Results: It was concluded that prior to the experimental process, there was no significant difference between academic achievement scores of students in the experimental group taught via project-based learning and those of others in the control group taught via the 2005 Science and Technology curriculum. It was also found that there was a significant difference between academic achievement scores of students in the experimental group and control group following the experimental process in favor of the experimental group. Effect sizes were found to be large. The study showed that there was a significant difference between pre- and post-test academic achievement scores of students in the experimental and control group, and effect sizes were found to be large.
