Our
results demonstrated that shading of jasmine is necessary for its
normal growth during summer months, but different degrees and
times of shade treatments would significantly influence the
photosynthetic activity, photosynthetic pigments content, chlorophyll
fluorescence and chloroplast ultrastructure. The plants under
full sunlight suffered photoinhibition by excess light irradiance,
whereas they would also suffer light deficiency under 5% or lower
light irradiance condition, especially through a long shading time
such as 35 days. The DP-jasmine plants would modulate its
development by the more number of chloroplasts and grana as
well as the grana lamellae, and the higher content of photosynthetic
pigme
