Women were told to lie down.
Using a tape, SFH was measured from the top of the
pubic bone, passed above the umbilicus to the top of
the fundus by turning the centimeter side of the tape
down. The tape was then turned it back up to read.
Measurement was done during uterine relaxation.
Then the same tape was used to measure maternal
abdominal circumference at the level of umbilicus.
History and other information were then recorded in a log book. The same tape was used for all mothers.
