In order to determine the most important parameters for explaining
the spatiotemporal variability of DBPs and free residual chlorine, step wise
analysis was applied. The reasons for the choice of this procedure
were multiple: the large amount of information provided by the
model, the possibility of considering a large number of potential explanatory
variables and the consideration of correlation between variables,
allowing for the inclusion of only those which are independent.
