Effect of GA3 application on IB, PPO activity and endogenous
ABA concentration
The effect of GA3 application on IB, PPO activity and endogenous
ABA concentration was examined in both cultivars during storage
at 25 ◦C. GA3 application significantly increased IB at 14 d and 21 d
in both cultivars (Fig. 4A and B). GA3 application also significantly
increased PPO activity in both cultivars at 14 d and 21 d (Fig. 4C and
D). In Trad-see-thong, GA3 application significantly increased the
endogenous ABA concentration (Fig. 5A). In Pattavia, GA3 application
significantly increased the endogenous ABA concentration at 7
and 14 d (Fig. 5B). The ABA concentration at 14 d in Trad-see-thong
that had been treated with GA3 was higher than that in Pattavia.
