You will be joining Peuan Peuan, a team of over 20 professionals committed to providing best quality and innovative social services to children, youth and families in Bangkok and Aranyaprathet. One of our key projects aims to strengthen the child protection system of centers for children operated by the Ministry of Social Development and Human Security (MSDHS).
What will you do?
As a Child Protection Project Officer you will be part of team that collaborates with the MSDHS to develop and implement a child protection system in 24 centers for children across the country.
Ongoing responsibilities include:
Conduct assessment on the child protection system currently in use in MSDHS centers for children
Conduct consultative workshops with senior government and center staff to develop a best practice child protection policy and reporting procedures
Develop a training curriculum and materials for training center staff on the child protection system
Provide training and technical support to center staff on how to implement and operate the child protection system
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the child protection system in achieving its objectives once implemented in the centers
You are passionate and knowledgeable about child rights and child protection systems
You have proven experience in conducting assessment and critical analysis
You are a confident and dynamic moderator and trainer
You enjoy spending time on the field working with the children and improving social services provided to them
Experience working with government agencies or in a residential center for children will be highly regarded.
You have a social work degree or a minimum of 1 years’ work experience in child protection
You speak and write Thai
You know your way around computers
You will be our full time employee based in Bangkok, with frequent travels across the country
