The gland plate appears in some photos to be misaligned maybe slightly bent
difficult to see. Due to the tolerance of entry alignment with both the gland plate
and the outer housing, the internal gland plate is designed to be self-centering. All
of the components must be loosened when installing to allow the gland plate to
float. When all components are fitted then the components should be tightened in
a star formation similar to tightening a wheel on a car. The recommended torque
setting is 25nm
In some cases due to the process in manufacturing the gland plate and the
pickling it undergoes when electroplated the gland plate will warp slightly and
when just pushed against the enclosure would appear to not but up fully . When
the other components are added the gland plate will pull up firm to the enclosure.
The critical is that the cable gland, plug or breather does pull up flush with the
outside to protect the IP rating of the box not the internal components
