of lignocellulosic material into ethanol, there are three major steps
involved firstly, pretreatment e a preprocessing step that improves
enzymatic access to the cellulose; secondly, saccharification/enzymatic
hydrolysis e use of cellulases and hemicellulases; and thirdly,
fermentation of released sugars by specialized organisms [3].
