Postdialysis systolic pressures (> 180 mm Hg) and diastolic pressures (> 110 mmHg) were associated with an elevated mortality risk as well. Also, in a retrospective analysis of 13,792 incident hemodialysis patients by Tentori et al [25], patients were evaluated for correlation between survival and achieving K/DOQI clinical practice guidelines for multiple parameters. Achieving the goal predialysis blood pressure of less than 140/90 mm Hg was associated with an increased mortality.
