In the population aged ≥ 65, prostate cancer was the most common cause of cancer death, accounting for 12.8% of all deaths, followed
by lung cancer (11.9%), hepatocellular carcinoma (9.3%), and gastric cancer (8.4%). Breast and cervical cancer, although among the
commonest causes of cancer death in women aged ≥ 65 (9.8% and 8.5% respectively), did not contribute a high proportion of deaths
when considering the entire over-65 population (4.6% and 3.9%, respectively).
