Black sea bream (Acanthopagrus schlegelii) is one of the valuable
commercial marine fish due to its excellent meat quality and strong resistance
to a wide rang of environmental conditions (Shao et al., 2008).
Although several recent studies have investigated the nutrient requirements
of this fish (Ma et al., 2008; Zhang et al., 2010; Zhou et al., 2011),
no data are available on the dietary utilization of FCM. We then
speculated the potentiality of FCM for fish meal replacement in diets
for black sea bream.
Therefore, a feeding trial was designed to investigate the effects of
replacement of fish meal with FCM on growth, digestibility and body
composition of juvenile black sea bream. The results generated from
this study may lead to more effective means of formulating low-fish
meal diets for this specie
