Many scholars agree that the way we carry out the task of educating learners needs to be reexamined.
Understanding that the process of education needs to change is different from knowing how best to help effect
that change. Recurrent themes in education reform include such topics as student centric learning and the need
to use technology to assist with the learning process. This paper will discuss how technology can assist in
student centric learning, considering potential future educational innovations while being mindful of technology's
limitations, and noting the need for educational systemic reform that will support successful technological
instruction in the 21st century.
