Test Objects
Four kinds of test objects, the electrode profiles of which are given in Fig.2(a), are illustrated in Fig. 2(b).
The typical electrode configuration of a gas insulated substation is a coaxial cylinder gap, while insulation between contacts of an open disconnecting switch is a rod gap.
A 80/200mm dia. coaxial cylinder gap is selected as an electrode assembly of the BIL 550 class bus bar.
