The lower house of Bolivia's Congress has approved a bill to declare almost half the country a disaster area.
Once the government signs the bill, it would free up funds for some sixty-thousand people affected by heavy rains, many of whom have lost their homes.
So far, two people are reported to have died from the flooding.
The floods are worst in the departments of La Paz, Beni, Cochabamba and Oruro.
Forecasters said the rains are expected to continue.
