The total antioxidant activity, measured as percent inhibi-tion of 1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) radical was mea-sured based on the method described by Alothman, Bhat, and
Karim (2009). Results were expressed as percentage inhibition
of DPPH radical, which was calculated using the following
equation:
