Dietary inclusion of either antibiotics or probiotics
increased (P < 0.05) BW of 21-d-old chicks, as well as
ADG and ADFI, and decreased (P < 0.05) F/G during
the starter period (1 to 21 d) when compared with the
NC treatment (Table 3). No significant effect of dietary
treatment were observed on BW at 42 d, ADG, ADFI,
and F/G during grower (22 to 42 d) and overall (1 to 42
d) periods compared with NC. There was no difference
(P > 0.05) in the above parameters of broilers performance
in starter, grower, and overall periods among
PC, 0.1%, and 0.2% probiotic treatments.
