These microorganisms have been reported to reach minimal
activity at temperatures lower than 4 °C, with no activity at 0 °C
(LÓPEZ-SABATER et al., 1996b, SILVA; DA PONTE; ENESDAPKEVICIUS, 1998; KIM; AN; PRICE, 1999; DU et al., 2002;
BERMEJO et al., 2003). The histidine decarboxylase enzyme is
