Most energy providers around the country are asked annually by the local or federal government to find ways to help consumers save energy. The programs that are developed provide billions of dollars per year in incentives and rebates to energy consumers with energy saving equipment such as ozone laundry systems.
One of America’s largest energy providers, Pacific Gas and Electric Co. (PG&E), headquartered in San Francisco, California, offers energy management programs for businesses that are taking steps towards optimizing efficiency and productivity, while minimizing their environmental impact. They are currently reworking their ozone laundry system rebate program.
The program will allow end-users of ozone equipment for commercial and institutional laundry facilities the ability to obtain a flat-rate rebate based on the number of washers in the facility, and the cost of the ozone equipment installed. The process includes: the need for an application, and pre and post audits of tradition wash practices and ozone wash practices, which would determine the rebate amount per facility.
The new flat-rate rebate program that promises to be a much simpler process for the customer to obtain, is currently targeted for roll-out in the first quarter of 2010.
Nearly all utilities have some incentives just waiting to be allocated. Contact your local utility (water, gas, power) provider in your city to find ways that they can help to promote resource savings through the installation of an EcoTex Advanced Laundry Oxidation System. Below are a few California utility links.
