You are very close to finalizing a contract with a business partner, when she suggests some major changes to the contract. You have been negotiating with this business partner for a long time, and you feel that you have already agreed to many of her terms and sacrificed many of your requests.
1. Talk with the business partner to identify which suggested changes are most important to her, and agree to those changes only.
2. Ask the business partner for the reasons behind the suggested changes, and try to find ways to address these reasons without making major changes to the contract.
3. Tell the business partner that you have negotiated enough and are not willing to make additional changes to the contract at this point.
4. Agree to the business partner's suggested changes because you have already put a great deal of time into this contract.
5. Tell the business partner that you both have done a lot of work to get to the current contract, and ask if she is sure that she wants to start additional discussions at this point.
