I am writing this regarding the first review.
I was a bit skeptical about this tour mainly because of the first review. However a friend of mine went before me and he said he had a great time so we decided to give it a shot.
We (3) joined a group of 20 people, and yes, we were split into groups to drive 3 snowmobiles and 3 dog sleds.
The guides are friendly, but they mostly care about your safety, so as long as you don't do anything stupid, you will have a great time. Most of it comes to common sense; as avoid walking on the edge of the freezing river or letting go off the dogs.
For lunch we had a traditional Sami vegetable soup with Reindeer and for lunch a special type of sausage we grilled in a fireplace inside a cabin. The next day we had sandwiches and bread with jam. For lunch we had moose.
Chopping wood was actually really fun and great exercise to keep you warm. You can instead also carry water from the river to drink.
Temperatures drop to -25 to -30 degrees Celsius, so yes, it was very cold. Such a unique experience. At the beginning of the trip we were offered to wear snow pants and boots. They really help! At night we were able to see the Northern lights in the camp and next to the river is a nice place to take pictures.
The cost of the tour overall was really cheap, and when you think about what you pay for what you get, it is really worth it!!!
You have to think about it being a different type of experience.
We were very satisfied and for sure recommend this tour to friends and family.
