we are going to file refund for Duty. I don't know how long it takes to get that money back, but I believe that we will get it back at the end. However, there will be storage charges 2,000- 3000 THB and I will request receipt from the airline itself. That storage was a result of you not sending Form E when you suppose to. I have tried to resolved this with a statement, but it didn't work, so we had to pay for duty at the end and we did that in a matter of hours.
I am expecting to get some realistic response from Kuhne Nagel Customs Broker when we can get Duty back, but from what I know that is lengthy process. Storage must be paid as soon as we get an invoice from Kuhne Nagel and again - I have requested receipt from the airline itself. On Monday I will get total amount for the storage and send it to you with receipt.
There will be also admin charge for re-filing Customs Entry (refund). Import Customs clearance in Thailand is THB 2,000 - 3,000 as you saw in previous emails, so I do not know how much they are going to charge for re-filing, but realistically it should not be higher than Import Clearance itself. That is also a result of you not sending Form E on time.
I hope that you understand all of this so far. We (Maxxi) are NOT going to take an advantage of this situation and make a profit on your mistake, but we also NOT going to pay for your mistake and after all we NOT suppose to have to deal with none of this if you sent documents in time. I did maximum from my side that I could and you saw it.
Realistically, I believe that you should pay for everything that we canNOT get a refund for: storage and Customs Entry re-filing fee. About Duty - I do not know what to tell you, since I do not know how long it will take to get money back from Thai Gov. If we can get it in less than one Month -you should not pay. If we have to wait for it two years - it should be your responsibility.
