Set at the rear of the old town, Wat Hua Khuang is notable for its towering brick and stucco stupa at its rear.
Compared to nearby Wat Luang, Wat Hua Khuang is a far better looked after affair but aside from the impressive stupa, this is an otherwise unremarkable site.
It does fit in well with a walking tour of Phrae, so take a look -- just watch out for the nutty dog that lives opposite and exists only to bark incessantly at foreigners.
