The students' assessment part consisted of evaluation in the end of the course in combination with continuous discussions in class about the progress of the social initiative and the cooperation with the different partners and organizations involved.
Three months before course startup, the students were contacted by the teacher and asked to research on ideas for suitable social initiatives and organizations in their respective networks to ‘push’ the students to begin the process. Most of the students responded positively and more than half of them had an idea and an organization to work with at the course start in September.
