Discussion of the Results: Phase Two of the Study
Due to two occurrences which affected the outcome of
the study, there was no increase in the overall percentage
of the subjects who had met the desired outcomes of the

lessons from phase one to phase two; however, there were
many individual gains within the subjects.
Once again, 66% of the learning disabled students were
able to reach the same art ability levels of the average
nondisabled student; but, by the end of phase two, 50% of
the BIC students (an increase of 25%) and 55% of the AIM
students (an increase of 22%) were able to obtain the same
artistic levels. In addition, the three images LD11 had
created during the last lesson of the study had excelled the
designs of most of the average nondisabled student.
