technique, the strip hollow cathode (SHC), was developed in recent
years [13]. A conventional step-by-step process path for the fabrication
of a combined ZnMg–plasma polymer coating on a continuous strip
processing device would comprise applying the Mg coating to electro
galvanised steel strip, forming the ZnMg alloy layer by diffusion heat
treatment and then depositing the plasma polymer film.
