is also released in the environment during the combustion of
fossil fuels (Salminen et al., 2005). A number of recent
developments in the automotive industry indicate increased
usage of Mo in automobiles, including in the body and
structural components, engine blocks, exhaust manifolds,
wheels, and high-performance motor oils (Battrum, 2007).
Thus, Mo may be found in both exhaust and non-exhaust
emissions.
