The TG/DTA results are condensed in Table 2 where it is possible
to observe for each residue the different values of weight loss percentage
(WL%) associated to endo-exo process. Some differences
among the sawdust, grapes and cherries seeds were found due to
the dissimilar chemical compositions. For all the three biomass
investigated, moisture evaporation occurs between 20 and 200 C,
and the weight loss associated is 5%. The other important weight
variation is related to the organic matter decomposition specially
cellulose and lignine (DTA-exothermic peak, 350 C). In this case
grape and cherries seeds show similar values (75–80%), while for
sawdust the LW% is lower (55%). The presence of carbonates in
sawdust is confirmed by weight loss (37%) associated to CO2
