Under Thai Labor Protection Act, Section 56 (1), an employer shall pay wages to an employee equal to a working day’s wages in respect of a weekly holiday, except for employees who receive a daily wage, an hourly wage or a wage calculated on a work-unit performed basis. Therefore, in the case that the employer pays the wage to the employee per year, it does not fall within the exception. This means that the wage will cover to all calendar day. Or it can be interpreted that the annual wage paid to the employee will cover the working days and non-working days.
