Check that emergency stop button 546568 (see Figure 5.1) is pulled out to its connected position and cutting unit protector 056400 (Figure 5.1) is in its closed or down position.
Start the machine using green button 576501 (1) shown in Figure 5.1. Feed screw 044290 (Figure 8.8) should turn in direction (A), which is clockwise. If the direction of rotation is (B), anticlockwise, stop the machine using red button 576500 (Figure 5.1), disconnect the power supply by turning main switch 529907 to 0 (Figure 8.7) and swap the two-phase connection in the machine’s three-phase power outlet.
Repeat the start-up and shutdown of the machine without load and grinder screw 141200 (Figure 8.6) to check that the electrical interlocks of protector 056400 and the perimeter bar of hopper 056410 (Figure 5.1) are functioning properly, i.e. the machine should stop when the first is raised or the second is pressed.
