comparisons e test of goodness of fit and test of independence.
In this study, we are testing the independence of
variables. For instance, in Table 1, we analyze whether
satisfaction level of Users is independent of category of
Users. The findings reveal that the null hypothesis, i.e.,
‘they are independent’ is rejected, thereby indicating the
dependence of variables.
Data analysis in Table 1 reveals that the Users used only
three options to respond e Most satisfied, Satisfied, and
Neutral. In the case of Faculty members, the highest
percentage (67.23%) are Most satisfied, followed by 32.77%
Satisfied. Similar trend is found among the Research
Scholars. In the case of Students, relatively more
percentage (56.25%) are Satisfied. The value of statistical
test (Chi-Square) suggests that Users’ opinions about the
benefit of IR as a rich reservoir of institutional academic
intellectual output is significantly associated with the
category of Users. The level of significance is 5%.
