The results of the triangle test confirmed that the overall yolk sensory properties from control diet was not different from SB, the lowest (diet 2) and highest (diet 5) levels of vitamin D-enriched diets were not different from the control diet and not different from each other at 5% level of significance.
Mattila and others (2003) also reported that supplementation of cholecalciferol in the diet of laying hens did not affect the physical, functional, and sensory properties of egg yolk. Similarly, carotenoids- and tocopherols-enriched diet had no significant ef- fects on physical and functional properties of egg yolk (Walker and others 2012).
