Essential Functions
Provide support to the Manufacturing manager in all aspects of manufacturing production.
Direct and supervise the manufacturing floor staff in order to accomplish assigned organizational goals and ensure staff task completion.
Prioritize workload and distribution of assignments to ensure available resources to ensure job completion within time constraints.
Ensure established targets and monitor all elements of manufacturing costs including labor, material, and performance to standards, set-up, process variance, lost time, scrap, and rework to assure they do not exceed projected levels.
Promote productivity improvement/cost reduction through methods, process, and tooling improvements.
Coordinate with staff and other production members with regards to changes, daily production, and quality concerns.
Troubleshoot machining issues, processes, capacity and tooling issues.
Achieve manufacturing results by communicating job expectations, planning, monitoring, and appraising results.
Maintains workflow by monitoring all steps of the process, observing control points and monitoring equipment and resources.
Implement cost reductions, develop reporting procedures and systems; facilitate corrections to malfunctions within the production process control points.
Ensure operation of equipment by calling for repairs and documenting listed items to be addressed.
Resolve personnel problems by coaching, counseling, investigating issues, identifying solutions, recommending action.
Maintain a safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources; maintain compliance with established policies and procedures.
Conduct daily safety talks, monitor and report production, and serve as a key driver for shift safety improvement.
Assist in implementing LEAN concepts and continuous improvement activities.
