The article investigates the distribution of Bryde's whale, Balanoptera edeni/brydei in the offshore waters of southern Odisha, eastern India. It cites that three whales were sighted at depth of 28-32 meter, south of Rushikulya River mouth in Odisha. It indicates that the whales sighted were identified as Bryde's whales based on the prominent lateral ridges located on each side of the median ridge, on the head, and their pointed falcate dorsal fin.
