However, the Thai National Shippers' Council (TNSC) warned that 10% of Thailand's exports would be affected if Klong Toey Port is shut down by antigovernment protesters starting next week.
"Most exports now go through Laem Chabang Port, but shipments will likely be delayed at least a week as exporters look for new shipping arrangements and transportation," said TNSC chairman Nopporn Thepsithar.
He said some exporters have already begun to expedite or delay shipping in preparation for the shutdown.
