2.5. Determination of cold water solubility and water absorption
The suspensions were stirred for 30 min or 24 h at 25 C using a
magnetic stirrer and then centrifuged for 10 min at 1200g. The
supernatant was collected and weighed. The supernatant was
dried in an air forced oven at 110 C for 4 h. Cold water solubility
was calculated according to Eq. (1) (Eastman & Moore, 1984).
