HondaEngines are unique in the sense that they rotate in anti-clockwise direction.
Honda is the pioneer in Front Wheel Drive vehicles.
They were the first to introduce VTEC technology which were later adopted by others as VVT-i ( Toyota) Cam Phaser Solenoid ( GM) and others going by iVTC etc.
Toyota claims to be quality driven ( false) but their parts are cheap and the technology is reliable ( New gen 5 speed and 6 speed transmissions are bad though ) and an indisputable Servicing history.
Technologies that come to my mind from Toyota are, auto rear view mirrors, memory stored seating and steering adjustment. Dual Cams ( I guess that started it)
There can be many more but these come to my mind right away
