planning development of the road network of any
country is essential for a sustainable regional economic growth.
This planning process requires consider the possible impact on
the territory and the possible synergies between the others
components of the logistic system, including the population and
economics aspects. This article examines those synergies,
employing the Data Mining algorithm - decision tree to build the
analysis model using the Republic of Panama as a case of study.
The analyses indicate the road network is directly related with
the gross national product in Panama.
