they could be qualified and quantified by inhibition
zone diameters, MIC and MBC values as summarized in
Tables 1 and 2. The susceptibility of the bacteria to the
extract, on the basis of inhibition zone diameters varied
according to microorganisms, but globally, the highest
inhibition zone diameters were recorded with Grampositive
bacteria (Table 1). Curiously, there was no
inhibition with Salmonella species, thus these strains were
not included in the micro dilution assay.
