In case of sericin, the extraction conditions should be carefully controlled since it is highly susceptible to heat. Extraction parameters such as temperature and time of treatment are known to affect the
extraction efficiency and quality of sericin. Yield is important because it will determine the economic value of
the sericin extraction method. In this study, sericin has been extracted from four different sources of mulberry
silk and the effects of various parameters on extraction of sericin using infrared dyeing machine and HTHP
