This study showed that there is variability
in resistance among the different rice genotypes
evaluated. All resistant genotypes were obtained
from Southern, Northern and Northeastern
Thailand. These, regions/areas could be used as
a potential source of genotypes resistant to blast
disease. The inclusion of blast disease resistance
as one of the criteria in rice breeding programs
and the use of these resistant genotypes will help
to develop rice genotypes that are agronomically
important and blast-disease resistant
