The Kurt peat is more decomposed than the Florestal peat, as evidenced by the higher contents in
humic and fulvic acids, as well as the less significant presence of decomposed fibers. The Kurt peat contains less dissolved salts (inferred from its lower electrical conductivity) and less inorganics (deduced from its higher TOC) than the Florestal peat. Inorganics are potentially harmful to industrial centrifuges due to the abrasive nature of their sand fraction.
