This is an interesting result, as the grand total in Table 4 reveals
that Route 1 is the most suitable option and Routes 4 and 2 ranked
as 4th and 5th. Unlike the grand total records, it could be arguably
said that Route 3 would be the best option for the HSR route in the
AustineHouston segment with the given variables. The last two
rows in Table 10 explain the variances in rankings between the
grand total suitability scores and the detailed value estimation, and
the results imply different notions. Therefore, it should be noted that the interpretation of each route in a detailed manner gives
more comprehensive approach to assess the route alternatives, and
this is a possible remedy to the second limitation of SDSS identified
in Section SDSS and its development.
